Types of Rubber Hose

There are several types of rubber hose available for different applications. There are three types of rubber hose: High strength chemical hose; 5/8-inch rubber sandblasting and 5/16 rubber delivery. A hose is used to transport liquids or gases from one place to another.

Chemical hose with high strength

Chemical hoses with high strength are made to withstand exposure to a variety chemicals. They are used for spraying pesticides and chemical substances, as well as for transferring them. These hoses are available in bulk sizes and can be cut to the length needed. They are able to be connected to other equipment with the addition of compatible hose fittings.

5/8 inch rubber sandblasting hose

Rubber sandblasting or derusting hose 5/8 inches in length is versatile and can be used for many purposes. This hose is typically made of a flexible rubber that is abrasion and wear resistant. The outer shell of the hose is made from a durable synthetic rubber material and reinforced with a steel spiralwire. It is available in different sizes, and couplings can be interchanged between hose sizes.

The rubber sandblastinghose's outer casing should be the right size to fit the blasting machine and nozzle. A hose with a thicker outer casing will last longer. A ten to fifteen-foot Supa hose can be connected as the last section before connecting the nozzle. A whip hose is easier to use than a standard hose.
