Braided Hose

A braided hose is composed of multiple strands of wire that form a spiral. The spirals are made of high tensile and low elongation wire, and are generally steel. Brass plating is used to strengthen the wire's adhesion to the elastomeric material. The hose's load capacity will affect the wire's gauge. The gauge is also limited by the equipment used to braid it.

Steel braided chemical hose

They can also withstand high temperatures and pressures and will not break apart or corrode in service. In addition, they do not need adapters for various pipe sizes.

These metal hoses are made from 316 stainless steel and have a steel braided cover. This combination offers excellent corrosion resistance and is an ideal choice for industrial chemical processing. Additionally, 316 stainless steel is sanitized and has excellent resistance to most oxidizing acids. It is however susceptible to high-salt environments, as well as chloride solutions.

Steel braided chemical hose is available with PTFE lining. PTFE lining improves chemical resistance and kink resistance. The PTFE lining is easy to clean and reduces the chance of microbial contamination. You can also get steel braided hose with PVDF braiding or polypropylene braiding.
