API 7k Rotary Drilling Hose

Corrosion Resistant

The API 7k hose is designed to withstand the harsh oilfield environment. It is constructed with a heavy duty Ultra Brasion cover to resist external damage from abrasion, corrosion, gouges, oil and weather. It is also fire-rated and meets the API standard SR6A.

The hoses are certified by the American Petroleum Institute to FSL 0 or higher and are suitable for use with petroleum-base hydraulic fluids. They are also resistant to acidification and ozone ageing, making them an ideal choice for oilfield applications.

High Pressure

Also known as mud hose or cement hose, these rotary and vibrator hoses are used to provide flexible connection between standpipe and swivel for pumping mud at high pressure in oil drilling and exploration.

They are made to withstand high operational pressures of up to 15,000psi without suffering damage or rupture. They are tested to a variety of specifications, including a four-hour pressure test at 700 bar and a material fatigue test.

These rotary and vibration hoses are available in lengths ranging from 5ft to 90ft. They can be supplied with various end fittings, including hammer unions, API threaded ends and butt-welded or integral forged unions. The hoses can be fitted with abrasion-resistant covers that are resistant to corrosion, cutting, gouging and weather. They are compatible with Parker ParLock skive type fittings. They are also resistant to hydrogen sulfide corrosion.

End Fittings

Rotary Drilling hose, Kelly hose, Cementing hose and Choke & Kill hose are used to convey high-pressure drilling fluids from one place to another. They can be supplied with many end fittings according to API standards. Most of these hoses are designed to operate under very high pumping pressures and have steel wire reinforcements. This thick reinforcement makes them able to withstand high working pressures. However, they should be handled and stored properly to avoid kicking or crushing which can substantially decrease their rated working pressure.
