High Pressure API 7K Rotary Drilling Hose

Rotary drilling hose, also known as Kelly line, jumper hose, cementing hose, mud hose and kelly hose is designed for the flexible connection between standpipe and swivel or between pump and swivel for pumping mud at extra high pressure in oilfield drilling and exploration work.

It has multiple layers of polyester cord over tube,high tensile steel cables and NBR,specially compounded,resistant to abrasion,corrosion,cutting,gouging,oil and weather.

Reinforcement

This high pressure rotary drilling hose is designed for flexible connection between the top riser and manifold or between mud pump and standpipe on oilfield drilling rigs. It resists corrosion of hydrogen sulfide, can deliver water, oil and mud high-pressure media.

Its lining is principally NBR constructed, featuring oil-resistant, abrasion-resistant and acid & alkali resistant. Steel wire braid reinforcement is multiple layers spiraled by single high-strength steel wire and rubber is used as binder to make the layers into one complete and sound construction.

The hose is swaged with built-in API couplings at both ends, and can be supplied with flanges, unions, swivels and other types of couplings on request. It is also available in different lengths ranging from 5ft to 90ft. It can be packed in woven bag or plastic film. The hose is able to withstand constant working pressure of up to 15,000psi. It is often zinc-plated or copper-plated to improve steel cable resistance to rust and corrosion.

Cover

Mud hose, kelly line or oil drilling hose is used for flexible connection between standpipe and swivel (rotary drilling) or between pump and mud pump (rotary vibrator) for pumping mud at extra high pressure in oilfield drilling operation and exploration. Can handle abrasive and corrosive mud.

Reinforcement: Multiple layers of polyester cord over tube, high tensile steel cables. Cover: NBR, specially compounded, resistant to abrasion, corrosion, cutting, gouging, oil and weather.

NBR lining, oil-resistant, abrasion-resistant and acid and alkali resistant. Cover: Modified nitrile black with gold stripe. Full range of couplings available, hammer union, flanges, hubs etc. Test certificates are shipped with each length. Lengths available from 5ft to 90ft. Special packing available on request.

Couplings

Rotary drilling hoses are used to convey drilling fluids from the top of the mud standpipe to the rotary swivel. They consist of a black oil and abrasion resistant NBR tube and two layers of spiral steel wires. The middle layer of the cable is covered by a layer of rubber which acts as a binder and prevents the steel wires from being exposed to abrasion.

This rotary high pressure drilling hose is resistant to abrasion, corrosion, cutting, gouging and 20% hydrogen sulfide. It is equipped with a full range of couplings including hammer union, flanges and hubs.

Applications

Drilling rotary and vibrator hoses(API 7K spec) are designed as flexible connection between standpipe and swivel (Rotary Drilling hose) or between pump and the upper end of the standpipe (Rotary Vibrator hose) for pumping mud at extra high pressures in oil drilling and exploration work on land or offshore. This hose has a special rubber construction with a single steel wire reinforcment and an oil, weather and abrasion resistant cover.

The inner layer is made of nitrile rubber which is oil-resistant and wear-resistant. The middle glue protection layer and the steel wire winding reinforced layer are also made of nitrile rubber which is durable against aging, oil, acid and alkali.

The outside layer is an abrasion-resistant synthetic rubber, which effectively resists corrosion and cutting. It is available in lengths from 5ft to 90ft, and with API threaded or hammer union couplings (with male or female parts). RTJs, hubs and unibolts can be supplied upon request.
